The World coin page has the score, the price drivers and every question answered — mrnasdog.com/research/wld. Below: supply, line by line.
WLD supply is growing fast even though no new coin can be created. Between Jul 25 and Oct 23 2026 about 329.6M WLD reached free holders, +8.63% of the 3.82B WLD that trade today, and nothing was bought back or burned. The coins come from two places: team and investor unlocks of about 117M WLD, and 212.62M WLD the World Foundation let go to free holders. We expect about +6.22% in the next 90 days, with the 10B WLD cap still far away.
The verdict, in one paragraph
Over the last 90 days WLD supply grew +8.63%: 329.6M WLD of new float against 0 removed. Other supply trackers show +1.81% for the same 90 days, a gap of 6.82 points. Their count started on a day when it was briefly about 194M WLD too high, and it was cut by 64M WLD on Sep 14 2026 with no coins moving; counted from Jul 24 2026 their figure rose about 326M WLD, close to the 329.6M here. So the gap is explained and no warning flag is shown. For the next 90 days we expect 237.67M WLD, or +6.22%. In one line: WLD is a fixed-cap coin that is inflationary on its float, because locked coins keep reaching the market.
Sell pressure: where new WLD comes from
Protocol inflation is 0. All 10B WLD were created at launch on Jul 24 2023, and the WLD token code blocks any new coins until Jul 24 2038. Nobody holds the right to create them today, and the one-time launch mint can never run again. After 2038 a vote could add at most about 1.5% a year, but that is 12 years away.
Vesting unlocks add about 117M WLD every 90 days. Tools for Humanity, the company that builds World, and its investors own 24.7% of all WLD. Their coins unlock in equal daily slices with no cliffs. On Jul 24 2026 the daily amount fell from about 1.9M to about 1.3M WLD, and it stays there until the schedule ends around July 2028. About 956M WLD of team and investor coins are still locked.
The World Foundation is the larger seller. In these 90 days 212.62M WLD left its hands for free holders. The biggest single move was 105M WLD sent to an outside wallet on Sep 30 2026, after 10M WLD to a custody wallet on Sep 11 2026. About 92M WLD came from the March 2026 private sale: part of it carried a six-month lock, and when that lock ended in September two buyers moved 80.1M WLD on Sep 16 and Sep 22 2026. Payouts to World App users and Orb operators added another 5.67M WLD; the monthly user grant was cut to about 1.36 WLD per verified person by August 2026. For the next 90 days we expect about 120.67M WLD from the Foundation: no sale lock ends before July 2027, but the Foundation has let coins go every quarter this year.
Long-term locked coins add 0. There is no bankruptcy estate. The Foundation sold about 358M WLD in July and September 2026 to investors who accepted one-year locks, so those coins do not trade yet; the first of them unlock on Jul 24 2027.
Buy pressure: where new WLD goes
Every buy row is 0. There is no buyback: no contract or treasury buys WLD from the market, and the World Foundation sells WLD to pay for World ID, the Orbs and its staff. There is no burn either. Apps that ask for a World ID proof pay a fee in WLD, but the fee goes to the Foundation, and burning part of it is only an idea for the future. In 90 days only about 148 WLD reached dead addresses, all of it small user mistakes.
The Foundation does not buy its own coin. A listed company keeps about 302M WLD in its treasury, and investors such as large crypto funds bought WLD in this year’s private sales, but they bought coins that either already trade or were never part of the float, so no buying removes WLD from the count. WLD has no staking lock that could take coins off the market.
Foundation and overhang
The overhang is large. The community unlock contracts still hold 3.5B WLD. The first of them, 1.75B WLD, has unlocked to the Foundation at about 1.6M WLD a day since Jul 24 2026, and about 146.7M of it is ready to be claimed; two more contracts of 875M WLD each start in July 2029 and July 2032. On Aug 11 2026 the Foundation claimed the last 674.6M WLD of the first 3.5B tranche into its main wallet, a move inside its own custody that added nothing to the float.
The Foundation’s main wallet now holds about 1.19B WLD, and its payout, grant and operating wallets on World Chain and Optimism hold about 160M WLD more. Team and investor coins still locked come to about 956M WLD, and buyer lots under one-year locks to about 358M WLD. We read the Foundation wallets and unlock contracts on the chain at every check: if any of these balances falls between checks, the coins that leave enter the Foundation line of the ledger at the next refresh.
How WLD compares to other fixed-cap, unlock-driven chains
WLD sits in a different group from proof-of-stake chains like Ethereum or Solana. Those chains print new coins to pay validators, so their supply grows by protocol rule. WLD prints nothing: its 10B cap was fully created at launch, the same way many app and network tokens launch. Its growth comes from coins that already exist moving out of locks and Foundation wallets into the market, which makes WLD closer to a young unlock-driven token than to a chain with block rewards.
Inside that group WLD stands out for two reasons. First, three quarters of all WLD belong to the community pool, and the Foundation decides when it spends them, through user grants, Orb operator pay and private sales. That makes the pace less predictable than a fixed vesting calendar. Second, there is no buyer built into the system: tokens with a fee buyback or a burn hand part of their usage back to holders, while World ID fees go to the Foundation. Until fees are large or a burn is switched on, every new WLD has to be absorbed by outside buyers.
The slower daily unlocks since Jul 24 2026 help. Team and investor unlocks are now about 1.3M WLD a day, and the community pool unlocks about 1.6M WLD a day to the Foundation, down from about 5.1M WLD a day in total before.
What to watch in the next 90 days
First, the Foundation’s main wallet and payout wallets. A new private sale, or a large transfer to an outside wallet like the 105M WLD of Sep 30 2026, would add to the Foundation line; sales that carry a one-year lock would not.
Second, the 146.7M WLD already claimable in the community unlock contract. A claim into the Foundation’s own wallet changes nothing; only what moves on from there reaches the market.
Third, World ID fees. The banking, finance and Zoom products launched on Oct 18 2026 charge apps in WLD. If the Foundation ever burns part of those fees, WLD would get its first buy-side line.
Fourth, the steady team and investor unlocks of about 1.3M WLD a day through Jan 21 2027. No cliff falls in this period; the next dated release is the end of the first sale locks on Jul 24 2027.
Summary
WLD is a fixed-cap coin whose float still grows fast: about 329.6M WLD, or +8.63%, reached free holders in the last 90 days, and about +6.22% is expected in the next 90. The new coins come from team and investor unlocks of about 1.3M WLD a day and from World Foundation releases and sales, and nothing is bought back or burned. The main risk is the size of what is still held back: 3.5B WLD in community unlock contracts, 1.19B WLD in the Foundation’s main wallet and about 956M WLD of locked team and investor coins. The 10B WLD cap holds until 2038, but most of it has not reached the market yet.
