VVV Inflation Analysis · October 2026 · Supply growing · projected to keep growing
VVV, the token of the private AI app Venice, is inflationary: the free float grew +2.98% in the 90 days to Oct 15 2026 and we project +3.40% for the next 90 days. Team vesting (1.24M VVV) and staking rewards (628K VVV) added far more coins than Venice’s revenue buy-and-burn removed (129,753 VVV). VVV has no supply cap; the yearly staking emission is now 2M VVV after two cuts, and the team vesting stream ends on Jan 27 2027.
The verdict, in one paragraph
Over the last 90 days 1.96M VVV entered the free float and 518,819 VVV left it, a net of 1.44M VVV, or +2.98% of the 48.44M VVV that circulate. The monitor reads +2.31% for its own 90 days, a gap of 0.67 percentage points, which is more than our 0.5-point limit, so the page carries a ⚠ note. The cause is on the monitor’s side: on Aug 17 2026 its supply figure dropped 309,171 VVV in one day when a staff vesting contract holding about 319,458 VVV was moved onto its locked list, with no matching move on-chain. For the next 90 days we expect 1.74M VVV in and only 94,173 VVV out, so VVV stays inflationary by design on the active float: team unlocks and staking rewards are bigger than the burn.
Sell pressure: where new VVV comes from
Staking rewards are the first source. The VVV staking contract mints new VVV about every 50 seconds. In these 90 days it minted 662,058 VVV: 628,162 VVV went to stakers and 33,896 VVV (about 5%) went to Venice’s main company wallet, which only counts once that wallet pays coins out. Venice cut the yearly emission from 3M to 2.5M VVV on Sep 1 2026 and to 2M VVV on Oct 1 2026, and the chain shows both steps on the day. At the new rate stakers receive about 5,205 VVV a day, so the next 90 days add about 468,500 VVV.
Vesting unlocks are the largest source. The team share of VVV streams out of an on-chain vesting contract every second, from Jul 27 2025 to Jan 27 2027, and a second contract pays smaller staff grants that run as late as 2030. Team members claimed 1,238,901 VVV from the two contracts in these 90 days. The two still hold 1.38M and 286,930 VVV, and about 1.19M VVV more unlocks in the next 90 days.
Company wallets are the third source. Venice’s main wallet sends about 26,000 VVV a month to a payout wallet (on Aug 2, Aug 31 and Sep 29 2026), its liquidity wallet sends 150 to 750 VVV a week to a contract, and its reserve wallet made one 9,134 VVV payment. Together that put 93,972 VVV into the market, and the same pace gives about 81,700 VVV in the next 90 days. Nothing comes from a bankruptcy estate or a long lock: the Series A investors’ 1.5M VVV grant is locked until about Jul 2027.
Buy pressure: where new VVV goes
The VVV buyback is the main buyer. Venice uses its revenue to buy VVV in the market and send it to the burn address, where it can never move again. Every new Pro, Pro+ or Max subscription triggers an automatic buy and burn of $2, $5 or $10, and since Jul 17 2026 every credit purchase adds $5 per $100. That automatic engine burned 69,903 VVV, about $1.26M, in these 90 days, and it grew each month. On top of it, a monthly batch burned 27,163 VVV on Aug 7, 16,563 VVV on Sep 8 and 16,124 VVV on Oct 7 2026. In total 129,753 VVV was burned, and the burn address now holds 33.91M VVV, most of it from the unclaimed airdrop burned in March 2025.
The buyback is set in dollars, so a higher VVV price buys fewer coins. At today’s price of about $25 the same spending burns about 94,173 VVV in the next 90 days, less than the 129,753 VVV of the last 90 days, when the price was lower for most of the window. VVV is not used to pay network fees, so there is no separate fee burn.
One more flow took coins off the market: 389,066 VVV moved from outside wallets back into Venice’s reserve and liquidity wallets (355,000 VVV on Jul 28, Aug 13 and Oct 5 2026, and 34,066 VVV on Sep 3 2026). These moves follow no schedule, so the next 90 days count 0. Staking is not a lock for this ledger: the 34.35M VVV staked, and the staked VVV locked to mint DIEM credit tokens, still count as circulating.
Foundation and overhang
Venice keeps 31.03M VVV in three company wallets that sit outside the circulating count: 20.75M VVV in its main wallet, 8.71M VVV in a reserve wallet and 1.57M VVV in a liquidity wallet. The two vesting contracts hold another 1.66M VVV for the team and staff. Together these five balances make up the whole gap between the 81.13M VVV total and the 48.44M VVV in circulation, to within a few hundred coins. Only part of the main wallet has a pattern (the monthly payout and the 5% share of new emission it receives); the rest has no public release schedule. Venice has said it does not plan to sell its treasury coins. The Series A investors also hold a 1.5M VVV grant and the right to buy 5M VVV more, both locked until about Jul 1 2027 and then vesting over three years; where those coins will come from has not been said.
We read every one of these wallets on-chain at each refresh. If any of their balances falls between refreshes, the outflow enters Sell #3, or Sell #2 for the vesting contracts, at the next refresh.
How VVV compares to other revenue-buyback tokens
VVV belongs to the group of tokens whose project uses real revenue to buy its own coin. What sets a coin in this group apart is the size of the buyback against new supply. Where a project buys back with most of its fees and has little emission left, the buyback can shrink the float. For VVV the buyback is real and growing, but it is a small share of revenue set per subscription and per credit purchase, and it meets two streams of new supply at once: a staking emission and a team vesting stream. Over the next 90 days the buy-and-burn covers about 5% of new VVV.
Against capped coins with a halving schedule, VVV has no cap at all: the emission is a yearly number Venice sets and has cut several times since launch, down to 2M VVV today, and it could change again. Against AI tokens that still face large unlocks, VVV is late in its schedule: the last of the team stream ends on Jan 27 2027. After that date, if nothing changes, new supply falls to about 1.9M VVV a year of staking rewards, and the buyback would cover a much bigger share.
The other difference is where VVV keeps its burned coins. Burns go to an address that cannot spend, so the on-chain total never falls; the real supply is the total minus that address. Read that way, about 33.91M of the 115.05M VVV ever minted is gone for good.
What to watch in the next 90 days
Team vesting keeps streaming every day until Jan 27 2027; a vesting tracker shows it as 312,500 VVV on the 27th of each month (Oct 27, Nov 27 and Dec 27 2026), and the size of the claims tells us how much reaches the market.
The next monthly buy-and-burn batches should land around Nov 7 2026, Dec 7 2026 and Jan 7 2027, if the pattern of the last three months holds.
Venice says its first own data center should come online in November 2026. Lower costs would leave more room for burns, but no new burn amount has been promised.
Any new change to the yearly emission. The 2M VVV step on Oct 1 2026 was the last one announced; a further cut would lower the staking rewards line, and a rise would add to it.
The three company wallets. A large outflow from the 20.75M VVV main wallet or the 8.71M VVV reserve wallet would add directly to sell pressure.
Summary
Venice Token (VVV) is inflationary: its free float grew +2.98% in the 90 days to Oct 15 2026 and is projected to grow +3.40% in the next 90 days. Team vesting of about 1.2M VVV per 90 days and a staking emission now set at 2M VVV a year outweigh a revenue buy-and-burn of about 94,000 to 130,000 VVV per 90 days. The key risk is the 31.03M VVV held in company wallets with no public release schedule, and the fact that VVV has no supply cap. The team stream ends on Jan 27 2027, after which new supply should drop sharply.
