The Jito coin page has the score, the price drivers and every question answered — mrnasdog.com/research/jto. Below: supply, line by line.

JTO supply is growing, and it will keep growing until the team and investor vesting ends on Dec 7 2026. In the last 90 days vesting released 33.46M JTO and a DAO budget wallet paid out 305K JTO, while JTX trading fees took 638K JTO into the DAO treasury for buybacks. Net, the float grew +6.20% (the monitor reads +6.50%), and about +3.35% more is due in the next 90 days. No new JTO can ever be minted, so once vesting ends the only new supply is what the DAO and the Foundation choose to spend.

The verdict, in one paragraph

Over the 90 days to Oct 19 2026, JTO’s circulating supply grew +6.20% on our ledger: 33.77M JTO entered the float and 638K JTO left it. The monitor reads +6.50% for the same window, a gap of 0.29 percentage points, small enough that no warning chip is needed. For the next 90 days we expect +3.35%, lower because only 49 days of vesting are left before it ends. JTO is a vesting-driven governance token in its final unlock months: the team and investor stream is the whole story until Dec 7 2026, and the JTX buyback is still small next to it.

Sell pressure: where new JTO comes from

Protocol inflation is zero. JTO is a Solana token whose mint authority was removed, so no new JTO can ever be created. Supply started at 1 billion and stands at 986.52M JTO after 13.48M were bought back and burned between late 2025 and early 2026.

Vesting unlocks added 33.46M JTO. Jito set aside 245M JTO for core contributors and 162.14M for investors, both unlocking over 3 years from the Dec 7 2023 launch. A third came at the 1-year cliff on Dec 7 2024; the rest releases evenly at about 372K JTO a day. That stream is the largest source of new JTO by far. It has 49 days left and 18.22M JTO still to release, and it stops on Dec 7 2026.

Foundation and unscheduled releases added 305K JTO. A DAO budget multisig, funded with 10.48M JTO from the DAO treasury in February 2026, pays about 100K JTO a month to a small group of contributors: 105,312 on Aug 6, 100,000 on Sep 2 and 100,000 on Oct 2. We expect three more payments in the next 90 days, about 300K JTO in total. A one-off 4M JTO payout from the same wallet on Jul 13 2026 fell just before this window.

Long-term locks and bankruptcy add nothing. No estate or trustee holds JTO and no long lock is due to open. The 21.17M JTO staked in Jito governance can be withdrawn at any time, but it already counts as circulating.

Buy pressure: where new JTO goes

The JTX buyback took 638K JTO out of the float. JTX, Jito’s own trading app, went live on Jul 14 2026, and on Jul 13 2026 JTO holders voted to send the DAO’s share of its fees, 80% of every fee, to buying JTO and burning it until at least Q4 2027. Fees paid in JTO go straight into the DAO treasury: 637,582 JTO in this window, with 239,510 in the first 19 days of October alone. Total supply fell only 588 JTO in the same 90 days, so the buyback’s JTO still sits in the treasury waiting to be destroyed.

There is no protocol fee burn. MEV tips and staking fees are paid to validators, stakers and the DAO; nothing burns automatically.

No Foundation buy is booked. Jito’s other revenue went to a subsidy for validators running its block-building software through the third quarter, and a newer proposal keeps that subsidy at full rate through Q4 2026 before it winds down by mid-2027. The DAO matched that revenue with JTO buybacks in the third quarter, but those coins were not burned and did not leave the float.

No new long-term lock. Governance staking holds 21.17M JTO, but the coins can be withdrawn, so they still count as circulating.

Foundation and overhang

The biggest overhang is the Jito DAO treasury at 210.06M JTO, about 21% of all JTO. It sent nothing out in this window and only grew, from JTX fees. Next come two Foundation wallets holding 55.29M and 20M JTO, three large reserve wallets with 43.04M, 30.76M and 27.52M, the DAO budget multisig at 13.74M, a tokenomics subDAO vault at 4.91M, a grants multisig at 1.70M and a bug-bounty vault at 0.76M. None of them moved in these 90 days except the budget multisig’s monthly payouts and 20 JTO from the bug-bounty vault, and none has a published release schedule.

If any of these balances falls, the coins that leave count as new supply at the next check. That matters most for the DAO treasury: once vesting ends, a DAO vote to spend treasury JTO is the main way new supply could reach the market.

How JTO compares to other DeFi governance tokens

JTO belongs to the group of fixed-supply governance tokens with a large insider allocation, like UNI, ARB, JUP or PYTH. None of them mint new coins, so their supply story is about when locked team, investor and treasury coins reach the market. JTO is further along than most: its team and investor vesting ends on Dec 7 2026, three years after launch, while several peers still have unlocks running into 2027 and beyond.

On the buy side, JTO now sits with the tokens that send product fees to a buyback, like JUP, RAY and HYPE. The difference is size. Those programs buy back far more of their token every quarter, while the JTX buyback took about 0.12% of JTO’s float in its first 90 days, against vesting near 6.3%. JTO’s fee story also differs from a staking chain’s: the coin earns nothing from staking itself, and the bulk of Jito’s tips go to validators and stakers, not to JTO.

Compared with a large-cap layer 1 such as SOL, which issues new coins to validators every epoch with no end date, JTO’s growth is temporary. After Dec 7 2026 its supply can only rise when the DAO or the Foundation spends reserves, and it falls whenever the buyback burns.

What to watch in the next 90 days

Dec 7 2026: the last day of the team and investor vesting. After it, JTO’s steady unlock stops and the 90-day supply growth should fall toward the size of the DAO and Foundation payouts alone.

The first large JTX burn: 638K JTO has piled up in the DAO treasury for the buyback, while total supply fell only 588 JTO in the last 90 days. A big burn from the treasury would cut total supply without changing the float.

JTX growth: on Oct 7 2026 the Jito Foundation said JTX would add stock trading within about two weeks, a mobile app this fall and perpetual futures perhaps this winter. More trading means more fees flowing into the DAO treasury for the buyback.

The validator subsidy vote: a proposal keeps Jito’s own revenue in the validator subsidy at full rate through Q4 2026. If it is changed, revenue could go back to JTO buybacks sooner.

The DAO budget multisig’s monthly payout in early November, December and January, about 100K JTO each, and any DAO vote that moves JTO out of the 210.06M treasury.

Summary

Jito’s JTO is inflationary for now: supply grew +6.20% in the 90 days to Oct 19 2026 and should grow about +3.35% more in the next 90 days, almost all of it from the team and investor vesting that ends on Dec 7 2026. No JTO can ever be minted, and the JTX buyback has started to pull 638K JTO a quarter into the DAO treasury for burning. The main risk after vesting ends is the 210.06M JTO DAO treasury, which only a JTO holder vote can spend.
