BONK Inflation Analysis · October 2026 · Mixed flows · supply roughly steady
BONK supply is flat, with a slight downward drift. No new BONK can ever be created, nothing is left to unlock, and burns removed 284.95M BONK in the 90 days to Oct 19 2026 against 0 new coins, a net change of −0.0003% on 87.99T BONK in circulation. The burns are real but tiny next to the supply, so BONK is a fixed-supply Solana meme coin whose float barely moves; market data shows +0.15% over the same 90 days.
The verdict, in one paragraph
Over the last 90 days (Jul 21 to Oct 19 2026) BONK supply changed by −0.0003%, and the next 90 days project about −0.0003% again (237.42M BONK of burns expected, 0 new coins). Market data shows +0.15% for the same window, a gap of 0.15 percentage points, which is small enough that no warning chip is shown. The on-chain supply of the BONK mint fell every week of the window and never rose once. In one line: BONK is a capped meme coin with no new supply and a slow trickle of burns.
Sell pressure: where new BONK comes from
Protocol inflation is 0. The power to create new BONK was switched off on-chain, and the Solana token program cannot switch it back on, so the 2022 genesis supply of about 100T BONK is the most that will ever exist. BONK pays no staking reward and no block reward in its own coin, so there is no stream of fresh supply for anyone to sell.
Vesting unlocks are 0. The early contributor and team shares finished unlocking, unlock trackers show BONK as 100% unlocked, and the circulating supply of 87,994,322,654,784 BONK equals the total supply to within about 100 coins. There is no cliff, no linear release and no locked bucket left.
Foundation and unscheduled unlocks are 0. BONK has big holders, but none of their coins sit outside the circulating count. The biggest event of the summer, a governance attack that took 4.43T BONK out of the BonkDAO treasury on Jul 6 2026, happened before this window, and the attacker had moved those coins on by Jul 20 2026. Because every one of those coins was already circulating, the sale moved coins between holders and created no new BONK.
Long-term locked or bankruptcy supply is 0. No court estate, trustee or long lock is releasing BONK, and none is scheduled.
Buy pressure: where new BONK goes
Programmatic buyback: 47.53M BONK. A wallet funded in USDC from a project fee account buys BONK on the market and burns it. It fired once inside the window, burning 47,531,979 BONK on Sep 21 2026 with about 156 USDC; its only other burn was 107.3M BONK on Jul 11 2026, just before the window. It has no public schedule, so the next 90 days count 0 from it until it fires again.
Protocol fee burn: 0. The BONK token itself takes no fee on transfers, so nothing burns automatically when coins move. Fee-funded burns by BONK apps such as the trading bot, the launchpad and the casino land in the holder and app burns row instead.
Foundation buy: 0. Under a governance rule, 51% of launchpad fees buy BONK for the treasury of Bonk, Inc. (Nasdaq: BNKK), which held 2,468,728,678,821 BONK at Jun 30 2026 and aims for 5% of supply. Those purchases are real buying, but the coins stay in a company account and still count as circulating, so they remove nothing from supply.
New long-term lock: 0. No new lock took BONK out of circulation in the window.
Holder and app burns: 237.42M BONK. Beyond the buy-and-burn wallet, the BONK supply fell by 231.31M as holders and apps destroyed coins, and another 6.11M BONK was sent to a burn address that nobody can spend from (6.11M of it in one transfer on Sep 17 2026). Burns came in bursts rather than evenly: about 15.9M in the first 30 days, 128.5M in the middle 30 and 134.5M in the last 30. The largest single burns came from private wallets: 39.83M BONK on Aug 31 2026 and 30.54M BONK on Oct 18 2026. The next 90 days assume the same pace, 237.42M BONK.
Foundation and overhang
BONK has no foundation holding a reserve of unissued coins, but a few large holders could sell. Bonk, Inc. holds about 2.47T BONK with a custodian (its latest filed count, Jun 30 2026), and its plan is to buy more, not sell. A former launchpad wallet holds 217.2B BONK and has not moved since April 2026. TenX Protocols disclosed about 219.7B BONK bought on the market and over the counter, in January 2026. The BonkDAO treasury holds just 6 BONK after the July attack, and the attacker’s wallets are empty.
All of these coins already count as circulating, so a sale by any of them would push price but would not add supply. We re-check the on-chain wallets every day and the company filings every two weeks; if any of these balances falls between checks, the outflow enters the foundation and unscheduled unlocks row at the next check.
How BONK compares to other meme coins
BONK sits in the same group as DOGE, SHIB and PEPE, but its supply rules are closest to PEPE and SHIB, not DOGE. DOGE has no cap and mints about 5 billion new coins a year to miners forever, so its supply always grows. BONK, like PEPE, has a hard ceiling because the power to mint is gone; the supply it has is the most it will ever have.
The difference from PEPE is the burn. PEPE has no app income feeding a burn, while BONK has several products, a trading bot, a launchpad and a casino, that send part of their fees to buy and burn BONK, plus a holder culture of burning coins. That makes BONK slowly shrinking rather than perfectly flat. SHIB also burns, but its burns are mostly holders sending coins to dead addresses; BONK burns are mostly real supply cuts on the token itself.
The scale is the catch. At 284.95M BONK per 90 days, the burn removes about one coin in every 300,000 a quarter. Since launch, burns have removed about 12% of the genesis supply, but almost all of that came from large one-time burns between 2023 and 2025; the steady app-and-holder flow today is far smaller.
What to watch in the next 90 days
The buy-and-burn wallet. It fired on Jul 11 2026 and Sep 21 2026, about 72 days apart. If it fires again before Jan 17 2027, the next-90-day burn rises by its size.
Bonk, Inc.’s next filing. Its third-quarter report should show the BONK count at Sep 30 2026. A drop would mean the company sold coins, which moves price but adds no supply.
Big one-off burns. Single private burns of 30M to 40M BONK drove much of this window. The next 90 days assume the same pace; a quiet quarter would cut the burn, a large announced burn would raise it.
Launchpad and trading-bot activity. App fees fund part of the burn and all of the company buying. Launchpad volume fell sharply in 2026, and a further slide would shrink both.
Summary
BONK is a fixed-supply Solana meme coin: no new BONK can be created, nothing is left to vest, and all 87.99T BONK already circulate. Burns by a buy-and-burn wallet, apps and holders removed 284.95M BONK in the 90 days to Oct 19 2026, a net change of −0.0003%, so supply is roughly steady with a slight downward drift. The main supply risk is not new coins but large holders selling coins that already circulate, such as Bonk, Inc.’s 2.47T BONK. The ceiling is fixed: BONK supply can only stay where it is or go down.
