BDX Inflation Analysis · September 2026 · Supply growing · projected to keep growing
Supply is growing and is projected to keep growing. The Pressure Framework records 133.264M BDX of combined issuance and scheduled releases against 889.9K BDX destroyed, giving +1.68% over the trailing 90 days and +1.68% projected forward; the monitor reads +1.67%. The dominant source is the quarterly ecosystem allocation, while Beldex’s native reward stream remains uncapped.
The verdict, in one paragraph
On the 7,870.8M BDX circulating denominator, the framework reads +1.68% over the trailing window. The monitor reports +1.67%, a difference of only 0.01 percentage points, which remains inside the warning threshold. Forward net pressure rounds to the same +1.68%, but it is calculated independently from the next scheduled release, expected protocol rewards and the measured burn pace. The central characterization is a privacy chain with regular reserve dilution that is much larger than its fee burn.
Sell pressure: where new BDX comes from
Protocol inflation contributes 2.584M BDX in the trailing ledger. The native node’s coinbase accounting covers the actual quarter’s block range and subtracts transaction fees from payouts to isolate issuance. Ordinary validator rewards do not tell the whole story: the protocol also allocates rewards to the Foundation through periodic payouts. The documented total is 10BDX per target block, split between validators and the Foundation. Counting only the ordinary validator portion would miss part of that issuance.
The next 90-day issuance estimate is 2.592M BDX, based on the active total reward and the target 30-second block interval. The complete historical aggregate is close to that protocol estimate, providing a separate reason to accept its scale. The June network interruption and recovery are reflected in the observed past chain; an announced anomaly that was rolled back is not added as a surviving mint.
Vesting unlocks contribute 130.68M BDX. The project disclosed that amount leaving its ecosystem allocation on Jun 30 2026. Its published March and June reserve balances differ by exactly the same amount. The next quarter-end event falls on Sep 30 2026, inside this forecast. Foundation and unscheduled unlocks add 0 beyond this release and the Foundation issuance already counted. Long-term locked or bankruptcy releases add 0 because no separate estate or dated distribution was evidenced.
Buy pressure: where new BDX goes
Programmatic buyback is 0. References to strategic buying without an executed quantity, identifiable destination and dated commitment do not establish a measurable purchase. Protocol fee burn contributes 889.9K BDX, drawn from the native node’s accounting for the entire 90-day block range. A separate check compares the official June cumulative burn disclosure with the fresh explorer total and supports the same order of magnitude.
Beldex destroys coins through transaction-fee rules and name-service payments. Current name-service code uses a 500BDX base and a 650BDX one-year registration amount, so an old small-fee assumption would misdescribe the mechanism. The forward burn estimate repeats the measured 889.9K BDX pace; activity can change, and that amount is not guaranteed.
Foundation buying is 0, and new long-term lock is 0. Masternode collateral is ordinary staking rather than evidence of a fresh long-term exclusion from circulating supply. The stock of already-posted collateral is not a new 90-day flow. No buy row is enlarged to offset reserve releases or to force agreement with the monitor.
Foundation and overhang
The official June disclosure identifies 1,607.76M BDX remaining in the ecosystem wallet and 214.50M BDX in the seed and venture-capital wallet, a combined 1,822.26M BDX. The ecosystem pool has the recurring 130.68M BDX quarter-end release. The seed and venture pool has no additional dated release established by this refresh. These are disclosed reserve balances, not claimed live public-explorer wallet reads: Beldex’s privacy design requires a view-wallet workflow to verify private address holdings.
Both wallets should be refreshed with each quarterly disclosure and with any new financing or token-terms announcement. If either controlled balance falls beyond the scheduled allocation, the extra evidenced outflow enters the Foundation row at the next refresh. The remaining difference between total supply and the classified float is not assigned to an invented wallet or release date.
The retired bridge token remains a separate watch item. Its supply was unchanged across this window, so the earlier unauthorized bridge mint is outside the current calculation. Replacement bridge tokens represent native units and are not added to native supply a second time. Destruction of retired, unbacked representations is likewise not credited as a native BDX burn.
How BDX compares to other privacy chains
Privacy affects what can be observed, but it does not make all supply accounting unknowable. Beldex exposes native issuance and burn aggregates even when a named wallet’s balance is not publicly visible. That combination calls for chain accounting for rewards and burns, alongside explicitly labeled reserve disclosures for the quarterly schedule.
Compared with a privacy coin dominated by continuing block rewards, BDX has an additional large distribution from previously minted reserves. Compared with a capped token that finishes vesting and stops diluting, Beldex also retains ongoing issuance without a fixed terminal ceiling. Burns reduce the net addition, but this quarter’s reserve tranche is much larger. These differences concern the mechanisms governing available units, rather than market prices or a prediction of investor demand.
What to watch in the next 90 days
Confirm the scheduled Sep 30 2026 ecosystem release and the reserve balances published afterward. Recheck the native reward split and block pace following any hardfork or reward-accounting change. Watch transaction and name-service activity for a material change in the 889.9K BDX quarterly burn pace. Review financing announcements for explicit token terms that would activate the 214.50M BDX seed and venture overhang. Keep the replacement bridge’s backing and the retired contract separate through Dec 19 2026, the end of this forecast.
Summary
The Pressure Framework reads BDX at +1.68% for both the trailing and projected 90-day windows. The main force is a 130.68M BDX quarterly reserve release, supplemented by ongoing native issuance and partly offset by 889.9K BDX of measured destruction. The key uncertainty is the timing of any additional movement from privately held reserves, whose last disclosed balance totals 1,822.26M BDX. Beldex has no fixed supply cap, and the near match with the monitor does not remove the need to verify the next release.
